During the year 2007-08, the state Govt. of Rajasthan announced that the sugar mills will be shifted from Sriganganagar City and new sugar Mill will be established in the vicinity area of Sriganganagar. The location for new Sugar Factory has been identified at Kaminpura village on Sriganganagar- Karanpur Road. Out of 149 Bigha land acquired for new sugar factory , 91 Bigha land has been taken under possession , on which temporary wall has been constructed. 21 owners have filed Writ Petitions in Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur against the Land Acquisition Notification. State government’s approval for establishing new Sugar factory has been received .

-    Loan Application for appraisal of the project from Bank and for Soft Loan from SDF is being filled up in consultation with STM      Projects Ltd. for submission.

-    IEM Form is being completed for submission to concerning Departments of Central Govt.

-    Tender Documents for appointment of (a) Technical Consultant, (b) Architect Consultant and (c) Environment Consultant has      been issued.

-    Following Supervisory Committee has been constituted by the Board to periodically review work progress of the project as      per time schedule of project implementation.
